"Well, this is it..."

Open on Bryan Williams. Standing tall in front of the camera, the past and recent events in W2K have certainly been interesting for Bryan Williams. Getting signed by the company, scouted by Haven Van Slyke. The two formed a professional relationship, and that blossomed into something a bit more personal. It didn't last very long, but it was good for the time being. And then something happened, Bryan was winning matches. You could see the change coming in him, he longed for something else. He hungered for more in this company, and he got it. First he became the IMPACT! Champion, stripping it away from Terri-Lamin Dangerously. With gold around his waist it only seemed to cause more desires. He longed for bigger and better things, like becoming the World Heavyweight champion. Being the IMPACT! champ was good, but to be the top dog would be even better. He plotted, and he kept winning matches. Ryan Cain took notice, and saw the two were on a collision course headed straight for the finals. Haven Van Slyke was in Bryan's corner the whole way, helping him every step of the way. The two met, and Bryan lost.

And everything changed. His world came crashing down, so he took everything else with him. He lashed out at Haven Van Slyke, and exposed her to everybody. Doesn't matter what Bryan said was the cause, it was all said and done now. Put a fork in it, it's over Johnny.

And now, here we stand with Bryan Williams. As he gets ready to face Ash, a man who was at one time screwed over by Haven Van Slyke. In Bryan's quest for greatness, Ash was just another victim that stood in his way. He used Haven to his advantage, and she did what she thought was right. She gave Bryan the win over Ash, worried about what he might do to Bryan in their match. That didn't matter now, the two of them were together. Bryan had somehow driven them together, in his lust for becoming the World Heavyweight champion. Now Hamid Ismaili is getting everything wrapped up, and that includes these two. Whatever the outcome, whoever wins this match, when it's all said and done Bryan Williams is walking away from it. He's done, he's moving on.

Let's open up on Bryan Williams, in his hometown of San Antonio. It is night time, and we are outside. Not sure of the location, but it doesn't matter. This isn't going to be a promo with any flash, or pizzazz. It's one guy, talking to another guy.

"Ash, you probably have a lot of things you want to get done in that ring. Seeing me on that card, facing you in that ring, it must conjure up a lot of thoughts. Lot of ideas, running around through that empty skull of yours. I'm here to tell you this..."

A pause.

"I don't give a shit. It's not going to matter to me in the end, win or lose I am moving right along. I've been through enough with Haven, and with you, and I'm done. Hamid Ismaili is giving us this grudge match to finish things up, and I'm fine with that. Maybe a few weeks ago I would have thought differently. Maybe a few weeks ago I would have been more inclined to defend myself. Being the IMPACT champ at the time, you could very well have gone after that belt. But it's gone now, so that doesn't matter. Maybe a few weeks earlier than that, and I could have been World Heavyweight champion. Now that...that would have been the perfect time for you to strike. Think about it, Bryan Williams and Ash. Fighting over the girl, AND the World Heavyweight championship."

Another pause, a smile appears and then fades away from Bryan's face. Back to the topic at hand.

"It's alright, what is done is done. You have Haven, and a nice career to look forward to. The FORMER Phoenix, rising from the dust. I'm sure that'll work well for you, I have to re-focus on myself though. I have to get back in touch with who I am, and what I want to accomplish around here. Sitting here, circle jerking with you for weeks isn't going to help that. It's not going to get me where I want to be, and that's at the top again."

A chuckle, a frustrated chuckle at that.

"You know, I almost had it too. I almost had it all, I was seconds away from being the IMPACT and World Heavyweight champ. Ryan Cain got me good, I won't deny it. Now he's facing his own problems, in the form of an emerald."

Bryan sighs, and shrugs his shoulders.

"It is what is is, and this weekend we're going to step into the ring. I'm going to beat the hell out of you, and you're going to do the same to me. Who knows, you might beat me enough to keep me down. You might get the win, who knows?! I don't know, and I don't really care. I'm over it all, you do what you have to do. I'm going to keep doing what I do best in that ring. I go out there, and bust my ass. I put on a great show, night after night."

Bryan stops, and smiles.

"But I'm sure you've heard that, so I won't bore you anymore. See you in the ring."

Fade.

Out of Character:

Horray, I actually decided to write another roleplay. That's double what I did last week, I am improving again.

Sigh.

It's all Bryan Williams could do at this point, after watching Ash's latest promo. You take in everything that Bryan had to say, and compare it up with what Ash said. What you get back is not the same thing, somewhere the message was lost on Ash. His brain either couldn't comprehend what was happening, or he just chose to ignore it. Either way, Bryan had to make things very clear for him. Clear enough for everyone really, can't just assume that the rest of W2K would be able to get it. Bryan wouldn't put it past them to think that he was leaving.

So let's open up on Bryan, shall we?

Bryan Williams ["Give up"...Is that the best you have for me? Really? After our match at Yellow Brick Road, after everything that has happened. After I sat here and told you that I would be done with your silly ass, all you have is "Give up"?]

Bryan feigns a headache, and pinches the bridge of his nose. There he stands, back outside in the same location he was at last time. More than likely he stands in front of his apartment, in downtown San Antonio. You can hear the traffic behind him, it's late at night.

Bryan Williams [It's funny, because I thought you would be all for moving right along. You have Haven now, you get to move on and get into new trouble. Find somebody else to annoy, I thought that would be exciting for you. But no, you had to open your mouth. You had to let all of the garbage just spill out, all over the floor. Now it's job to clean it up, and set you right.]

Bryan sighs.

Bryan Williams [It is what it is, I guess that's my fault really. I sort of put myself in this position, over the last few weeks I was obsessed with getting that championship around my waist. You can't blame me, I had everything going for me. A lady standing right next to me, with all of the power in this company. I had the IMPACT championship, I was basically getting hot-shotted right to the top. Right to Ryan Cain, but unfortunately he stopped that all with a Zero Kick. Knocked me square on my ass, and sent me tumbling down back to square one. Everything I had going for me, all of it was lost in a matter of three seconds. I wasn't in the right place, I wasn't where I should have been. And then the next week it continued, I lost my title and I gave up Haven.]

A shrug.

Bryan Williams [I sit here, and I think about it. I think about the time I spent with Haven, I think about some of the things we did together. Yeah, she was nice. But she was also somewhat of a handful, constantly just stressed from running this promotion. She was always "business as usual", she wouldn't even call me by my first name for a while. I guess that's how much she cares about running this place, so you're an idiot if you think I was just keeping her away from everyone. You're a dunce if you really think that I was the one that was keeping the two of us from everyone else. But hey, what else can I expect from you Ash? Delusions of grandeur, on the highest of scales. This is the same guy who actually thought I was going to quit, this is the same guy who thinks he really stands a chance at beating me.]

Bryan throws his head back, a loud and obnoxious laugh emerges from his mouth. It echoes in the distance, Bryan keeps it short though. Back on track.

Bryan Williams [That's all you are, Ash. You're a guy who consistently thinks something that's never going to happen. You're just a guy who wishes he just knew a little bit of what I know. Face it, you had no chance at Yellow Brick Road. I had you choked out, you were either going to tap or pass out. That bell wasn't for my protection, Ash. That was for you...]

Bryan smiles, he rubs his hands together.

Bryan Williams [But now, it doesn't mater.]

A clap, the sudden sound breaks the pace of Bryan's words. But the quickness of it fades away, and we continue on.

Bryan Williams [Because after this week, I do move on. I'm done with you, and I'm done with Haven Van Slyke. You have fun with her, parade her around all you like. I don't care anymore, I have to move onto other things. I'm a man of my word, I'll finish this out with you. You have my attention for a few more days, but after Battlelines...it's gone. I move on, I have to get myself back on track. Ryan Cain sits at the top, fighting off contenders. I have fallen to the bottom of the pile, but I do not plan on staying here for much longer.]

A smirk, a confident one.

Bryan Williams [I have an image to re-build, and a legacy here that I must form. These next few months are crucial for me, and what I want to accomplish in this business. Guys like you, it's just wasted time. You're no threat to me, or anyone around here. You talk big, but in the end you have no weight. You have no purpose, you're just another chump standing in that ring. So let's say I beat you this week, big deal. So what if you beat me? It doesn't matter, getting that world heavyweight championship around my waist is what matters.]

Back to reality, it sets in for Bryan.

Bryan Williams [I messed up, and I let a lot of things get the better of me. But I plan on changing that, I plan on making my name one of the best around here. When you see Bryan Williams in the future, you're going to think "there's one of W2K's best guys". You're going to put me up there with Ryan Cain, Cross, Nic E Dangerously. Even guys who made their mark in this company, but you don't ever hear about them anymore. Like Jacob Mitchell...]

A pause.

Bryan Williams [There's someone who had it all around here, he made his name but it completely crashed around him. You don't really hear from him anymore, and I don't want to end up like that. Because I STILL BELIEVE. I still believe in Bryan Williams, I believe that I will be back on top very soon. I do believe that I will be the world heavyweight champion, I can just feel it. Ash, you can sit there and believe all that you want. But when it comes time to getting in that ring, you're going to quickly realize that it was a mistake. And that last time should have been exactly that. The absolute last time that you should have stepped into the ring with me.]

Another smile, this one more sinister than before.

Bryan Williams [There will be no bell to stop me from doing what needs to be done, and that's to put you down once and for all. This weekend, at Battlelines, we end this. I end you.]

Smile is gone.

Bryan Williams [See you in the ring...]

Fade.
