Ash leans forward in a chair and rubs his hands together.

“My advice to you Williams…”

He smirks.

“Give up.”

Keeping on smirking, he starts laugh quietly, the air blowing from his nose.

“Yeah, just, please, leave. W2K doesn’t want you. I don’t want you and babydoll doesn’t want you anymore. You blew it. Go away. Go to some other promotion and become the big fish in the small pond when you know you could’ve been the great white of the Atlantic that is W2K. Now, some hammerhead comes along, steals your thunder, takes a bite out of you, and you swim off to the trenches to sulk. Ryan Cain? He’s better than nobody. Least of all you and you just go. I would’ve been back in that ring putting his head through that canvas with a Headtrip or maybe even an Ashes in the Fall. No motherfucker beats me that easily. Now, you’re just a guppie at Petland.”

He looks to the side and scratches his neck, then sits up.

“To make a clichéd quote from Marlon Brando, you coulda been a contender. You were more than that, Williams. You were the man to beat and you let some adversity beat you. I didn’t have to make good on the hit on your head. You offed yourself and I get to close shop. Sweep up the dirt. Count the money. Lock the doors. You were still the Impact! Champ and you let the W2K Title loss make you lose your focus and you let Dangercunt beat you when she doesn’t deserve a damn thing other than a fuckin’ fist down her throat. Maybe she’ll take notice of this match knowing full well this is what could come to her.”

He stands up and starts to walk around, jabbing a finger at the camera.

“Stop wasting all our time. You’re annoying the shit out of me. Go. Away. For good. Good thing I get to show you the door.”

He smiles again.

“At least, I’ll put your head through that door first. Then, I’ll go home, hold babydoll tight, and we won’t have to dream of better days. We’ll revel in the fact that it’s all coming true. See, Williams, I don’t hide her. I’m not ashamed of her. I don’t keep her in my back pocket because she’s not an object. She’s a woman. She walks beside me. She makes the rules. I do the killing and with no help from her because I don’t need it. It’s just good to have good lovin’ in high places. Backup, if you will. I’m tired of working my ass off for this company and getting stepped on for it. I’m tired of doing everything and my brother fucking up everything in his life, yet he’s the one that gets all the good stuff. I simply get. ‘No, Trey. We have nothing for you.’ I was a road agent. I was relegated to being ‘the help.’ Who the hell do you think booked the fatal four-way that determined the Impact! Championship in the first place? Who do you think booked the match between the Beast and the Harlot? Nevyrmorr and Terri LaMin. I didn’t have to drive them apart myself. It just happened. I took it all for myself. I took this company. I told you and all the other motherfuckers, Williams, that TITAN wouldn’t rule this company…I would.”

He laughs and taps his chest.

“Now, look at where I’m at.  TITAN’s a nobody and I’m at the top. Hell, even my douchebag brother is facing the Boy Scout. Now, I don’t like Ryan Cain, but when you face the Cain, you’re makin’ it. Again, despite the fact I can’t fuckin’ stand him, the Wallace brothers once again are at the top of the W2K mountain . Divided we’re standing, and the Dangerouslys still can’t topple us. Drew fuckin’Stevenson for all his rich bitch antics can’t buy us out. You and all your backhanded bullshit can’t put me down. I took that knife you had intended for my back and put it through your chest. Now, all’s I gotta do is twist, and it all goes away. I’ll make it go away Williams. It’ll be over and then you’ll understand why when everything burns away, Ash remains.”

No smile this time. Just a steady stare.

“And you’ll know why they all fall down.”

Re:Tap out, already (Ash)

“You’re still somebody, Williams. Good for you. I was hoping there was some of that fire still left. W2K still needs a hero, B-Ry. They still need that fire to warm them when things get cold in this place. Just consider me the big dick that pisses on that shit and leaves it wet and best of all…”

Ash smirks.

“…extinguished. You’re gonna be a champion someday, are ya? Not givin’ up, are ya? Fan-fuckin’tastic, Bry! Raise that fist and fight that fight, because I’m still putting you under. So, I guess you might be Ol’ Yeller after all and W2K is still that hopeless little boy that thinks you’re something worth saving.”

Ash shakes his head and runs a hand through his hair and lets it fall where it may. Strands fall where they shouldn’t and it just doesn’t look all that pretty. Oh, well. Ash isn’t exactly Cosmo material these days.

“W2K doesn’t need you. It doesn’t need me. It doesn’t need anybody. Those ‘fans’ are so fuckin’ stupid, they’d have the flu, you’d have the penicillin and they’d get up and say, ‘Fuck you! It’s my life!’ They’re so retarded that there are people that still root for me. They think you’re the boy scout phony and I’m the anti-hero.”

Ash nods slowly as he looks at his fingers.

“Sad thing is that you’re the one they should be rooting for. You’re the one they should pin their hopes on because you fucked up big time, you tried fucking me over, I turned the tables on you, got fucked over in the process, and you’re still standing. You admitted it and you’re still here. These dumb motherfuckers still think I’m worth rooting for. I sent my wife back to where she fuckin’ belongs and away from her children. I don’t speak to my children anymore and they don’t wanna speak to me. My brother has disowned me and I gave it all up for Haven Van Slyke and success in W2K. I’m worse than you’ll ever be, Williams. I overshadowed you in another area.”

He leans in to the camera.

“I’m not the one these people should be rooting for. They should be rooting for you. Dumb fuckin’ smarks are the bane of this industry and they’ll kill it. Me, I’m gold. I make whitebreads like you look like a million bucks and that, gee, there’s still good in the world. Now, don’t get me wrong about all this. I’m not ashamed of myself and in saying that, I’m not trying to be edgy or ‘real.’ I’m just another jaded vet who got tired of busting his ass only to be passed over by the next flash in the pan. Be careful Williams, or you’ll be just like me. Taking the backdoor in. Selling your not-so-loved ones down the river. Hang on to those ideals, because when I’m sitting in my trophy room with the Impact! Title, W2K Heavyweight Championship, or whatever, and Haven Van Slyke in the other hand…those will get you through those cold, cold nights. Oh, but you can share that fire. I’ll let you sleep on the couch because one shouldn’t spend their winters alone. Then again, this is Texas. Cold is only a metaphor more than a part of the climate.”

He snaps his fingers and they spark like flint striking together to start a fire.

“So, you still have that want to be here. Good. I just love breakin’ hearts, Williams, because the sad thing is that Haven? It was just business. She’s moved on and if she moves on from me, that’s just business. So, it’s just business when I put you under for a nap long enough to get the ‘w.’ It’s just business. I’ll keep telling myself that."

Another smirk as the scene fades out.
