The scene opens up to Psyche Devyne laying on a lawn chair in the backyard of her house in Ontario, Canada. She is wearing a tiny black skull bikini on her pale body, hoping to catch a bit more of a tan. Curled at her feet are her two newest additions, Boomer and Ruthless. The two Boston Terrier puppies were squished together as if they were attacked at the sides. The perfect brother and sister. Psyche stays laid back on her lawn chair, sunglasses covering her eyes to shield herself from the sun. She started to speak.

Psyche: “Things are very back and forth for me in this business. One week I dominate my opponent, and the next I’m being pummelled and beaten in the ring. It’s hit or miss with me. We all have our off weeks. We all make mistakes. Some weeks we do whatever we can to win and others we just can’t quite push ourselves far enough. It pains me when this occurs. The feeling of loss is hard. The feeling that you’re not as good as you had hoped to be. The heartbreak when you realize that someone else took the 1, 2, 3 over you. It can be devastating. But it can also be invigorating. It can be the thing that pushes you. It can be the thing that sets you back onto the right track. And that is what I hope for. That is what I strive to do. I wish to use my shame and make myself better. Make myself regain traction and win again. I am that good. I just need to make sure I show it.

She runs her fingers through her hair.

Psyche: “Each and every week I come out doing the best I can. If my best isn’t enough to win, so be it. I learn from it and grow until it IS enough. I have put a lot of hard work and dedication to get to where I’m at today. And I don’t plan on stopping now. I will continue to fight. I will continue to built myself up in this company. That is my goal. And that is a goal I am going to meet.

Psyche brings her body up on the lawn chair, crossing her legs under her body. She smiles at the two puppies stirring at the bottom of the chair.

Psyche: “You know, Gavin, I’ve heard about you. Great things. This isn’t one of those matches where I pretend like you’ve never existed and I don’t know what you’re capable of. I do know. You’ve been doing this for years. You taught your own school. You are not a force to be reckoned with. I get it. This will be a tough match for me. But I’m up for it. And I will put up a bloody fight against you. I’m not some pretty little thing that will let you do whatever you please. I am not the one who’s going let you walk all over me. That’s not me, love. Sorry, but you’re in for one hell of a match.

The smaller black puppy, Boomer, began walking towards Psyche. She crawled up on her lap, where Psyche scooped her up to hold her against her chest.

Psyche: “Big, bad Gavin Masterson. The things I heard are good, yes… but only in the ring. You see… I’ve also heard that you’re a massive fucking prick who thinks so bloody highly of himself that he’s about to fall off the ant-hill that he’s built. Yes… I can praise you for being a great contender in the ring, but I can also see the bad qualities about you. The former you seem to lack the ability to do, so I hear. Let’s be honest here, Gavin. You’re kind of a piece of shit. I’ve met men like that. Men who love to look like a badass. Grab their bird’s hair while on camera and kiss her with a force that would make people think she’d have bruises on her lips. Men who act as if they are the best at everything. Men who claim they are better than anyone around. Take a look at Bryce Blakely… The Black Republicans… whoever. Those men all claimed the same. And what did that get them? Their asses beat by a bunch of women. Bryce promised a fight. He promised he would throw me to the mat and take the win. And what happened there? He lost. I beat him because I didn’t claim to be the best. I didn’t make false promises. I knew what I was capable of. I knew I could take his arse and hand it to him. But he assumed his words would be enough. And to be quite honest with you, it seems like you may feel the same. I’m not saying you won’t be able to back up the things you say. I’m saying that you put way too much faith in yourself. You are promising way too much for this match.

Boomer shifts in her arms as she begins to fall asleep. Ruthless walks over, curling up against Psyche’s curled up legs.

Psyche: “Broken promises are going to be your worst enemy.

Psyche reaches a hand down and pets Ruthless along his spine, smiling. She then brings her hand back up, stroking Boomer now.

Psyche: “Contrary to your very misguided beliefs, this is not the ‘All About Gavin’ show. This isn’t GavinCW. You’re not as important as you may think. You don’t always get what you want. And judging from your little hissy fits and backstage pissing contest with yourself last week, that’s exactly what you were thinking when you came here. You, I’m sure you’re aware, are sorely mistaken. Come in as a tag team and see your first match as a singles competition. Clearly Paul doesn’t have much faith in your abilities, even if he’s heard the same that I have. Keep pretending like you don’t care about your old friend. Keep pretending like he means nothing to you. Keep pretending that you’re the reason Devin Hawk got to where he was. He had to have some kind of skill to be able to get to the status he had from when he started. You can’t teach wrestling. It’s in our blood. We’re all here because a spark ignited. We learned. We changed. We adapted. We bettered ourselves to get to where we are today. You may have molded a man into something better… but you did not create him. You’re not God. Sorry to burst that little bubble for you, love.

Psyche places Boomer gently down beside her brother. She stands up with her hands on her hips. Her figure is now seen more in it’s glory thanks to the lack of fabric adorning her body.

Psyche: “I will not claim that I will beat you. I will not claim that I am better than you. I will not say that I win this match no matter what. But what I will say, is that I will fight back. I claim that I will not back down. I will do everything I can to make sure that you give this match everything you have in order to try to win. This will not be easy. For either of us. I promise that.

She smirked at the camera.

Psyche: “And I never break my promises.
