Boardwalk LIVE! was quite the show. For Psyche, it was the first actually big show she had ever been a part of. No matter how it could have turned out, that simple bit in itself was amazing to her. This was all so new and having experienced it all was awesome. Unfortunately, things didn’t go her way, as she would have liked, but that didn’t sway her so much. The match was great and it was a cool way to kickstart her career. She just needed to prepare herself better next time, was all. A learning experience for her to use towards her next match. While she was fuming a bit when she got into the back, she quickly calmed herself down. She wasn’t big on dwelling on things that went on, so her spirits remained high as she moved through the backstage area. People she passed would give her reassuring smiles, as if to tell her that she tried her best and looked good doing it. She would smile back, which caught some people off guard, but others seemed to enjoy her being upbeat despite her loss.

Psyche moved towards the locker room to get her things. She could see someone leaning against the wall beside the door. A larger smile came across her face, realizing the person standing there was her date for the night, Mr. Bryan Williams. He looked up at her as she came closer. A bit of a smile played across his face. Even if she had lost and he was sad for her for it, he still couldn’t help but smile at the beautiful woman in front of him. He went in for a hug, which she took.

Bryan: “I’m so sorry you lost the match. You did amazing out there, though. That Psycho you hit was awesome.”

Psyche: “Oh… thank you, love. The bastard cheated to get his win, but it was still amazing to be out there. I’ve never been in front of so many people like that in my life. It was incredible.”

Bryan: “I’m happy to see you’re in such good spirits about it.”

Psyche: “How can I not be? It’s just too amazing being out there to be sad. But I’m going to have to end the hug. I’m quite sure I smell terrible.”

She laughed a bit and pulled away. He surely didn’t mind, since it was still an excuse to just be touching her, but he smiled as he let her go.

Bryan: “No way. Women never smell bad.”

She laughed again and turned to look at the locker room door.

Psyche: “So are we still on for that dinner and drink you promised?”

Bryan: “Of course!”

Psyche: “Lovely. I just need a shower and to change. Would you mind waiting a bit for me? Or maybe I can meet you somewhere?”

Bryan: “Nah. I’ll just hang out around here. I have my phone. I’ll play a game or something while I wait. And if I wander off and you can’t find me, just text me.”

Psyche: “Perfect. I’ll see you in a little bit then.”

Not long after, Psyche emerged from the room, bag on her shoulder with all her gear inside. Bryan did as he had said and stayed around the locker room. He made his way back over to Psyche, looking her up and down. Psyche was now doing the same, having not noticed what he had been wearing before. He was in a nice pair of dark jeans with a grey dress shirt under a vest. He was looking quite dapper and she was enjoying it for sure. She was relieved with her choice in outfit, since she hadn’t thought too hard about where they would be going after the show. She was dressed in a very tight black dress that was cut just above her knees. The top had a v-cut to it, showing off a bit of cleavage along with a burgundy corset around her small waist. She had also put on a short brown leather jacket that was buckled just under her chest. A pair of black heels covered her feet, putting the finishing touch on the outfit. Bryan continued to look at the woman from head to toe, obviously enjoying the view. He hadn’t even offered to take her bag from her yet, as if he was in awe.

Bryan: “Oh! Uhh. Here, let me take your bag!”

He went to grab the bag. Psyche decided to let him be a gentleman and take it, since she knew she wouldn’t get far in protesting. Bryan motioned for her to follow him out. She did so, catching up to him and walking beside him.

Psyche: “Thanks for taking my bag, love. You’re such a gentleman.”

Bryan: “Not a problem at all. I have to be kind to the lady I’m taking out. Also... you look absolutely gorgeous.”

Psyche did something she didn’t normally do; she blushed. It had been a long time since someone had paid her such a compliment. Really, it had been a long time since anyone was interested in her at all. Most of the time, she intimidated men. That or they find her quirkiness to be a bit much. She understood. She wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea. But she could tell Bryan was genuine in what he said. Plus having it come from someone like him made it even better.

Psyche: “So do you, love. So dapper in the vest. I love it.”

Bryan: “Haha. You do, huh? Well I’m happy you enjoy how I look tonight.”

She smiled it him. The two had made their way outside to the parking lot to where Bryan had a car. Psyche didn’t have one, since she wasn’t quite used to driving on the wrong side of the road yet. So she took cabs everywhere.

Psyche: “So where are we going?”

Bryan: “Just a cool little place I know. There’s rarely anyone there, most times. Do you like Italian? This place is, like, authentic.”

Psyche: “Oh yes. Very much so. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a proper Italian meal.”

Bryan: “Yeah. This place is awesome. And I like the way you say proper. Say it again…”

Psyche laughed and smiled at him. He was facing her, having dropped her bag on the ground behind his car.

Psyche: “Proper…”

She said it slowly, in an almost sensual tone.

Bryan: “Really, I like anything you say. Your accent is gorgeous.”

Psyche: “Yours is like that for me. American boys sound different from the lads back home. Listening to your voice is… I don’t know… I can’t even describe it. But it’s good.”

She smiled big again. Bryan was smiling along with her. Now was his time to blush, but in a much more manly way, of course. He opened the trunk of his car, picking up Psyche’s bag again and throwing it in. He walked around to the passenger side of the car and opened the door for her, letting her get in. He was seriously pulling out every gentlemanly thing he could come up with right now. He was seriously trying to impress her.

After a rather quick drive, they arrived at the restaurant, which was very empty indeed, save for a few taken tables. Bryan had opened her door for her getting out of the car, held the door to the restaurant for her, and even pulled her chair out for the table the had been given in the far corner. The place was beautiful, dimly lit and had a lovely aroma swirling around from the food. Psyche was in heaven.

Psyche: “This place is lovely. Amazing find.”

Bryan: “Definitely. It’s perfect for a date, don’t you think.”

Psyche: “A date… yes. I guess that’s what this actually is, right?”

Bryan: “I guess so. Are you okay with that?”

Psyche: “Of course I am. You seem to be really good at them, so I could continue going on them with you at this rate. Unless you turn terrible before the night ends or something.”

She laughed.

Bryan: “I’d never do such a thing. We haven’t even begun this date and I’m already coming up with ideas for other dates and excited for them.”

This made Psyche a little giddy. Someone was actually excited about her and excited to spend time with her. This was seriously throwing her off of her game.

Psyche: “Well I’m looking forward to seeing what your ideas bring.”

The two smiled at each other, looking at each other for a lot longer than they had before. The waitress came, breaking up the couples stare fest to ask for their drink orders and also asking if they had looked at the menus yet. Of course they hadn’t. Psyche ordered herself a red wine and Bryan asked for a beer. She said she’d return with their drink orders in a few minutes to give them time to decide what they would like to eat. They both opened their menus, glancing through. Psyche kept taking quick glances up at Bryan as she was reading. When Psyche put her eyes back down towards the menu, Bryan would look up at her.

Psyche: “So I’m thinking either the Bucatini all ‘Amatriciana or Chicken Piccata…”

Bryans eyes quickly went down as she started speaking.

Bryan: “I’m thinking about the steak.”

Psyche: “Sounds like a good choice on your part. And since I’m a huge sucker for Piccata, I’m going with that.”

Bryan: “Did you want to share something to start? The prosciutto with melon sounds good.”

Psyche: “Sure. That would go really nicely with my wine as well.”

The waitress came back with the drinks and some bread to start. She took their order and left. Psyche took a sip of her wine and looked up at Bryan.

Psyche: “So, Bryan. Are you ready for your match on Thursday?”

Bryan: “Of course. Things are going to go very well, I think. I’ll just keep proving how much of a winner I am.”

Psyche smiled.

Psyche: “Of course. How could they not already know, though?”

Bryan: “Exactly. And what about you? Things went how they did tonight for you… how are you feeling?”

Psyche: “I’m good. No matter what, I just have to keep trying new things and keep pushing myself. I think that’ll help me the most, you know?”

Bryan: “For sure. That’s exactly what I’ve done as well. Just keep pushing myself to get where I need to be.”

Psyche: “Well hey… if it works for you, then it’ll work for me, I say.”

Bryan: “Well let’s talk about something else. Let’s talk about you.”

Psyche: “Me?”

Bryan: “Yeah. Tell me more about you. About your life and everything.”

Psyche took another sip of her wine, trying to think of where to start.

Psyche: “Hmm… Well I guess I’ll start with where I came from, which you already know, mostly. I was born in England right in Camden Town in London. My parents lived in a shitty little flat there. It worked well for them at the time since they did a lot of street performances and the like along with their actual jobs. Camden is like the most amazing place in all of London, I think. A lot of people disagree, but I always loved getting lost in the stables and the mazes of alleys. The shops… the people… everything. It’s my home. My parents were kind of hippies in a sense, which explains my name. The only thing I changed for my in ring persona was the spelling of my last name, which is an ‘i’ instead of a ‘y’. I just thought it looked better on paper, is all. Anyways… my life was pretty simple at the start. My parents did for me what they could. I started working pretty young as well. In school I was bullied until I learned to stick up for myself. I found that fighting helped me a lot, which made me get into wrestling. It was nice to be able to get my aggression out. I would come here to America back and forth for short periods with my dad for his business as I grew up as well. He and my mum got out of the street performance business, realizing it couldn’t pay the bills and both got real jobs. My dad knew of my obsession with wrestling and would take me to shows, since ours weren’t anything special to me. Seeing the Americans wrestle was amazing to me. So I just set out to make coming here to wrestle as my goal and took a chance. I guess it worked.”

She smiled at Bryan, watching him to see what he thought. He was nodding through the whole thing, listening to everything she said. He just seemed so interested in her, not looking at all bored.

Psyche: “The only hard thing is moving your life here… I decided going back and forth from home to here and also to BCW when I need to was too much. I’ll go home once in a while… but I can’t go as often. This past weekend was the last time for me for a while.”

It was kind of a bittersweet thing for her. She loved wrestling, but she also adored her home. And nothing back home could give her the things she was getting here. So she would stick it out.

Psyche: “What about you, love? Tell me more about you? I only know a small amount and that you’re a gentleman.”

She laughed a bit, waiting for his answer.
